Guidance and systemization of experiences
This report explores challenges and opportunities that local and regional authorities experience working with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in general and conducting a Voluntary Local Review (VLR) in particular. Based on interviews with stakeholders from the Baltic Sea Region and Eastern Partnership Countries that have conducted a VLR, as well as surveys disseminated to stakeholders in the regions, the report sets out to map the main challenges and opportunities that cities and municipalities experience in the VLR process – in order to identify what kind of support they need going forward.
