Concept notes and papers
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a triumph of multilateralism and one of the most ambitious efforts undertaken by humanity. It is a universal, comprehensive, interdependent agenda that generates commitments for all countries of the world and for all sectors of society. The Member States of the Ibero-American Conference have given special priority in their public policies to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Under the leadership of the Pro Tempore Secretariat of Guatemala, they have agreed to reorient Ibero-American Cooperation to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, in the framework for the activities of the 2017-2018 biennium and towards the XXVI Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will take place in La Antigua in November 2018, under the slogan "A prosperous, inclusive and sustainable Ibero-America". This study aims to feed this process, providing knowledge and analysis that serve as an input for the debate by decision makers and other relevant actors in the region. The Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) makes it available to the public, hoping to make a valuable contribution to the fulfillment of the objectives and goals of the 2030 Agenda, with which we are fully committed.
