Concept notes and papers
More than 50 representatives of authorities, international organizations and local communities share their experiences, reflections and proposals for action to achieve the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Objectives at the local level. The texts address six themes: -The role of local actors in the Global Agenda 2030. -The principles of Agenda 2030: universal principles, various views. -An agenda, multiple actions. The implementation of the Sustainable Development Objectives in the territories. -Urbanization, peace building, culture and communication, and social participation: global changes that demand innovation and local proposals. -Objectives of Sustainable Development: 17 challenges and 169 goals so that no one is left behind. -Good practices. The location of ODS is a democratic exercise in local public policies, bringing the concepts to the highest level of proximity to citizens. In order to achieve Agenda 2030, local actors are required to be strong allies in the implementation of the ODS and there is a strong emphasis on international cooperation, all in order to favor local action in the context of global international relations.
