Leaving No One in Mountains Behind: Localizing the SDGs for Resilience of Mountain Peoples and Ecosystems

Conducted by the Mountain Research Institute and the Center for Development and Environment at the University of Bern, Switzerland, the brief draws on expert assessments in Nepal, Uganda, the Kyrgyz Republic, Ecuador, and Switzerland, which the goal was to identify high priority targets for sustainable development in mountains and how these targets can contribute to strengthen the resilience of mountain people. The chosen procedure can serve as first steps to localize SDGs to the context of mountains.
