The High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Implementation of the New Urban Agenda will take place on the 28th of April, 2022.
Six years after the adoption of the New Urban Agenda at HABITAT III conference held in Quito (Ecuador), the President of the General Assembly is holding a one-day High-level Meeting to assess progress on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, in collaboration with UN-Habitat.
The High-level Meeting seeks to recognise the importance of cities, and the transformative actions identified in the New Urban Agenda in ensuring a greener, more just and inclusive future in which no one and place is left behind.
A number of events are being organised as part of the roadmap towards the High-Level Meeting by the different constituents of the New Urban Agenda. On Wednesday, 27th April, UN-Habitat and its partners have prepared a series of side events and special sessions connecting the Sustainable Development Goals and the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, which are listed below.
